RSA Cat Has Arrived! RSA Cat is our new online library card catalog website. It will allow full access to the entire collection at Brimfield and all the other libraries in the Resource Sharing Alliance (the RSA in RSA Cat) from any computer connected to the Internet. The new RSA Cat will allow you to place holds on items in your local library and renew your items; all from home. Starting in Spring 2008 it will allow you to place holds on just about any title in over 160 libraries and their branches, and to choose the library where you will pick up your requests. In addition to looking and working better, the new RSA Cat will often include extras such as book covers, reviews, tables of contents, summaries, and first chapter previews. Click on the Search for Materials link at the top of this page to visit the new catalog. To use the My Account feature you need your library card number and the password is CHANGEME. You can change your password at that point, and access your account. RSA Cat is "Libraries Delivered" to you! Looking forward to serving you better @ your library!! New Library Cards All Brimfield Public Library District residents will be issued one of our new library cards when next visiting the library. Come in and get your new plastic "credit card" style library card along with a matching key tag! The new cards are so attractive, with a picture of the library building on the front; it's the "smartest card" in your purse or wallet! We're Going Green! The EPA estimates that it takes 1 plastic bag over 500 years to decay in a landfill. Each person's plastic bag legacy will be 4.175 million years! The worldwide consumption of plastic bags is over 500 billion, that's over 1 million per minute! Help our environment by buying green, reusable bags at the library for only $1.00ea. They are great for book bags, groceries, etc. Don't forget to switch out your ordinary light bulbs to energy saving fluorescent bulbs. Simple ways to be kind to our environment! Wireless Internet Access at the Library! "Wifi" service allows those with a laptop computer,
PDA, enabled cell phone, etc. to use our high speed Internet access
with their own equipment and without wires! If you don't know if
your equipment is compatible, or has wireless capability, check with
the sales staff where you purchased your equipment for help. Come
in and enjoy some coffee, while using our wireless high speed
connection! |

Reminder: minor children (age 8 and over) coming to the library without
adult supervision are expected to be at the library for library
purposes. The library staff does not provide childcare for children
of any age. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult or
responsible caregiver at all times while visiting the library.
