SUMMARY:Chaos to Calm
DESCRIPTION:Chaos to Calm\nAwareness-Wellness program with Amy Filter\, MSN\, RN\n\nAfter losing her best friend to suicide in 2013\, Amy Filter\, MSN\, RN has created a gentle community of hope and healing as she took her many years of nursing and grief and is now helping others to transform their lives through trauma coaching. Having worked in areas of addiction/recovery\, the local Veterans Affairs and various other mental health spaces\, Amy has created a community who appreciates a more holistic way of healing within the mental wellness space through educating others how to incorporate conscious connected breathwork. Conscious connected breathwork is a fast growing global healing modality that is drastically changing the mental wellness space\, all through the process of understanding how to breathe in a deeper way that connects our emotions to our bodies. Learn more about the nervous system and how our breath controls all aspects of our wellbeing. DIS-EASE in the body can be prevented by one CONNECTED breath at time! \n\n\nChaos to Calm: Learn how to reduce anxious feelings\, feel safe with certain emotions and create a new slowness to navigate the needs of our busy lives. Conscious Connected Breathwork is an evidence-based wellness modality that is not well known in the Midwest\, yet the benefits are mind blowing! Each session provides a deeper focus on the natural inhale and exhale our breath and provides a deeper connection to our sensations\, feelings and emotions. This modality goes far beyond general “breathwork” and creates a new way of living. \n\n\nWithin a brief amount of time\, we learn how to shift our bodies directionally from one state to the next along our nervous system. In doing so\, we create long term sustainable mental wellness\, improve our heart rate variability and overall\, drastically improving our mental\, physical and emotional wellness. Some benefits include restorative sleep\, improved clarity\, less anxious feelings\, better concentration and a more balanced and co-regulated work and home life! In time and as we trust our bodies more\, this modality has been shown to greatly impact anyone with a history of mental health concerns\, especially those navigating any level of stored trauma.  \n\n\nBrimfield Public Library\nWednesday\, August 27th at 6:30pm\nFree Program\, Ages 18+\nNo Registration Necessary\nAttendees may bring a Yoga Mat or a throw blanket\, if they would prefer to practice breathwork on the floor\, rather than seated on a chair.
