April is National “Donate Life” Month!

In the presentation, Karen Kohnke will share information about the great need for organ/tissue donation to help people in need of organ/tissue transplants. She will also explain how the Illinois Organ/Tissue Donor Registry, and state organ/tissue donor registries in general, work, and why they are important.

Karen’s bio:

“I am a Regional Coordinator for the Illinois Secretary of State’s Life Goes On Organ/Tissue Donor Program. I am based in Normal, Illinois, and cover a large part of central Illinois, sharing information about the need for organ and tissue donation for transplant purposes.  I have been in this field for more than 10 years.  In my own family, my uncle received a heart transplant.”
