Notary Service
We provide notary service to the community for a minimal fee. Please call 309-446-9575 in advance to confirm the availability of a notary public.
Patrons requesting notary service must provide the following at time of notary appointment:
- The completed, unsigned document(s) to be notarized.
- A valid, unexpired state, federal, or other government ID with signature and photo.
- All persons required to sign the document(s).
- Any witnesses, if required by the document(s). Witnesses may not be solicited from staff or patrons using the Library.

Test Proctoring
We proctor certain exams, free of charge.
Please note:
- We cannot proctor tests that are longer than 5 hours. With enough notice, we can sometimes proctor 4-5 hour tests.
- Staff cannot be physically present throughout the exam, just check in occasionally. Make sure that is acceptable with your institution before making a request.
