Have you changed your name or address since you last voted? Find out how to update your registration.

Register to Vote in Person
View a list of locations in Peoria County where you can register to vote. In-person registration must be completed 28 days before Election Day.

Register to Vote Online
If you have an Illinois driver’s license or state ID, you may register online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website. Registration must be completed 16 days before Election Day.

Register to Vote by Mail
Find the downloadable registration form and mailing instructions on the Peoria County Election Commission’s website. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked 28 days before Election Day.

How to Vote

In-Person Voting
Peoria County voters have the option to cast their ballot at any of the County’s 55 polling places on Election Day, rather than being limited to their assigned polling place. Polls open at 6am and close at 7pm statewide.

The library’s Activity Room is a polling place. Locate other polling places near you.

Absentee/Voting by Mail
Any registered Illinois voter may request a Vote by Mail Ballot. View information about voting by mail and find Online and printable Vote By Mail applications on the Peoria County Election Commission’s website.

Return your ballot in the mail or find a ballot drop-off location. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day in order to be counted.
