White Sisters – Barb White Sandall and Louise White Siegel

Louise was born in Princeville’s hospital, Seven Oaks Sanitarium. She graduated from Brimfield High School in 1957, working at Memler’s Store during high school. Louise raised her four boys at the White homestead where she grew up. Barb graduated from Brimfield High School in 1965. She married Roger Sandall and they raised their two girls in a Hamilton Sears home on VanBuren in Brimfield. Barb’s husband Roger is honored with a memorial in the Brimfield Grade School gym because of his years of volunteer service as a school board member and fire department, including being the fire chief. In the interview Barb also shares Roger’s involvement in an attempt to organize the Brimfield Jaycees. Louise and Barb’s parents Lawrence E (Red) White and Ruby White raised 8 children. Red White owned a feed store/trucking business in Brimfield while his wife Ruby ran the household and sold cream to folks in Brimfield. Viewers of this interview will learn about the White Homestead located near the Brimfield Elevator and the White Feed Store.
